Can I legally get married to someone without jeopardizing my current 130 application?

I am a UK citizen over 21 years old and my mother has filed an I 130 petition. It is currently at the stage where I need to submit police records and photgraphs prior to an interview. I am currently in the US on the Visa Waiver Programme. In 2005 I met a young lady on the Internet and we struck up a relationship that has since blossomed into love. We have been on vacation in Jamaica in 2006 and she stayed with me in the UK for three months in 2008. I also visited her in July and December last year and I am currently with her up to September when I will need to leave the US. She lives in the US and I live in the UK. I have a few questions that I am hoping to get some advice for. 1. Can I legally get married to this young lady without jeapordizing my current I 130 application? 2. If we get married would I need to return to the UK and come back to the US sometime afterwards as we intend to live in Florida? 3.Would getting married in the US be a better option than to wait for the completion of the I 130 petition. 4. Can I adjust status from the I 130 petition under VWP entry to the US?
